Updated : Sep 12, 2025

Aamir Khan has praised director Lokesh Kanagaraj as one of the best directors before the release of Coolie. He even stated that he is planning a big superhero film with the director in Hindi. But now, in a recent interaction with press, he called it a "Big Mistake".

He thrashed his appearance and called it random and very unnecessary. He stated that as he is not creatively involved in it, he did not have any say in it. He agreed that the scene did not work and there was no context for his entry. He further stated that it should have been planned better but there is not writing.

Recently, reports have been rampant about Aamir Khan not doing the planned superhero film with Lokesh. Now, the actor's open discourse about his cameo and the appearance, he seems to be not interested to work with Lokesh further. Well, Lokesh seems to have thought it would work like Vikram's Suriya cameo but it did not.

Currently, reports suggest that there are issues for him to even start Kaithi 2 and he is planning a film with Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth together. They are coming together after 46 years if the news turns out to be true. In any case, Aamir Khan taking such U-turn and harsh remarks showcase his disappointment with Lokesh.
